You may have noticed that I'm experimenting with AI to speed up my writing. I really like the experiment, so I'm taking five requests to experiment more.

The stories will be rather short: about the length of my two previous stories, so about 2,000 - 2,500 words, maybe a bit more or less. My usual rules apply:

  • I will only write stories that are very similar to the other stories I have written. Which means that I will only write about (super) strong, muscular women

  • No fanfic

  • No underage content

  • No explicit sex

  • No extreme violence or gore

  • No omnipotence or giantesses (unless you have a very good story idea)

  • I will publish the story on my DA page

Send me your requests (by DM or as a reaction to this post) before Sunday 7 April 23:59 CEST. You can send more requests if you want to. After the deadline, I will pick 5 requests which I will turn into a story. If you'd like to, I'll give you a link to a Google Doc where I'll paste the results and you can make minor revisions.

This November will be special for several reasons. I'll be celebrating being 7 years on DeviantArt. Also, I'm pretty sure I'll pass the 2,000 watchers in November. This is really going fast now, because I hit the 1,000 after more than 5 years on DA!

I'm a bit ashamed I still haven't finished the story that was requested at 1,000 watchers. But I'll be participating in NaNoWriMo again this year, which basically means I am trying to write at least 1,666 words a day, every day in November. I'll try to work on this request as well.

So I won't open requests to celebrate the 2,000th watcher. Instead, I have a special offer for you: a story of 1,666 words for just €20 (normal price: €25) or a story of 3,333 words for just €35! (the normal price is €50).

The same conditions apply as for a normal commission, except, of course, that it is cheaper and it has a fixed length. Okay, not completely fixed; it can vary a bit. So the story has to be rather simple, because 1,666 or 3,333 words isn't very much. 1,666 is about the length of this story and 3,333 is about the length of this one. During NaNoWriMo, I should be able to write it in one or two days. Well, at least a first draft.

Other commissions are still closed, and this offer is valid until the end of November 2021. Only a limited amount of slots is available, so send me a DM soon, and get your own female muscle story!

EDIT: to celebrate, I'll post more stories in November than usual. There will be at least four, maybe even more, if I finish the commissions real quick.

EDIT: I'll list the results here:

“Goodness! It looks like my new neighbor is a muscle girl. How old would she be?” Catherine asked herself. She watched the young woman across the street with keen interest. She was about the age of her daughter, Catherine guessed. Or maybe a bit younger.
The muscle woman had her long blonde hair in a ponytail. She had a beautiful face, but Catherine’s eyes quickly wandered further down. The girl wore a sleeveless shirt and she had tied the lower side of her shirt into a knot, leaving her impressive midsection bare. Her shorts strained to cover her firm butt and a pair of sneakers completed the picture.
Her minimal clothing left plenty of room for her stunning physique. Her arms were thick, promising great strength. Her back was wide, her abs defined, her waist was tiny. But it were her legs that attracted most attention. Her thighs were unreal; big muscles were moving underneath her skin as she walked. Her calves were huge balls of muscle. C

When the story is finished, you pay the remaining half.

I have done several commissions in the past months. I'm closing commissions for a while, so I can work on my own stories. As soon as I'm available for commissions again, I'll edit this post.

Do you want more pageviews for your stories?  I will explain to you how I managed to get over 40,000 pageviews for my most popular story. I have written more than 50 stories about strong muscular women, but in this journal I’ll give tips that anyone can use, no matter what you write about.

A flaw in DeviantArt

To start with: many of those 40,000 pageviews are caused by a flaw in DeviantArt. Because every time someone visits your profile, every story (and every journal) on your Activity Timeline receives an extra pageview. This only works for stories and journals, not for other kinds of art.

This means you can maximize your pageviews by keeping stories on your Activity Timeline as long as possible. What can you do to achieve this?

  1. Buy yourself a Core Membership
Because this allows you to have up to 20 items on your Timeline, which means that a story will receive those extra pageviews for a longer time
  2. Use Collections, Journals, Status Updates and Polls with care
All these things will push your stories further down on your Timeline, and make them disappear eventually. That’s why I only have two collections besides my Favorites, and only rarely use Journals, Polls and Status Updates. I usually delete Status Updates after some time, so there is more room for my stories
  3. Don’t publish too fast…
If you publish twenty stories within a month, they will only receive the extra pageviews for a month. However, if you publish a new story every two weeks, they will receive the extra pageviews for forty weeks!
  4. … but don’t publish too slow either!
Because if you hardly publish anything, people will forget you and not visit your profile anymore. So you have to find a balance between slow publishing and fast publishing. I publish something new every two or three weeks, on average.

(Okay, I published three stories and two journals in the past month, so I didn’t really do what I described above. But that was an exception).

Of course, you have to decide for yourself if you want to follow these guidelines or not. You may have your own considerations for doing things in a different way. But this has earned me about 50% of my pageviews. From those 41,000 pageviews, just 22,000 show up in Google Analytics. For other stories, the percentage of ‘fake pageviews’ is even higher than 50.

General tips

Keep in mind that this is all based on a flaw in DeviantArt. They might fix it someday and then all the tips above will be useless. Fortunately, there are several other things you can do to increase the number of pageviews.

  1. Write a good story. This is of course the most important of all. If your story is crap, nobody will read it. But this journal is not about writing good stories. I am sure you can find other tips for that, within or outside DeviantArt.
  2. Give your story a good title
You can often only see a very limited amount of information about a story. Just the title and the first lines. So make sure that the title will make your potential readers want to read your story.
  3. Use the first lines to make the reader curious
See 2. You only have a few words, so use those to grab your potential readers and drag them into your story!
  4. Post your story in relevant groups
The more the subject of groups matches the subject of your story, the better. Because the members of the group are likely to be interested in the subject of the group, the chances are high they are also interested in your story. I usually don’t post my stories in very general groups that have a huge number of watchers and accept all kinds of art. The number of deviations in these groups are high, and the chances are low that anyone will notice your story and be interested.
Don’t forget to look for groups that address a certain aspect of your story! For example: you usually write about witches and post your stories in groups about witches. But your newest story is about a witch who meets a werewolf. Then you could consider posting your story to groups that feature werewolves as well.
Every now and then, I read stories similar to mine and l check in which groups those have been posted. I have discovered several new relevant groups this way.
  5. Also write stories without the Mature tag
My four most popular stories all don’t have this tag. When you use the Mature tag, you automatically limit your audience. Some deviants will not see your story, and neither will people who don’t have a DeviantArt account at all. All your stories will be indexed by search engines like Google, but not everybody will be able to open them.
Also, on the desktop version of DA, your stories will only show up in the sections (on the right of the screen) ‘More from…’ and ‘Featured in Collections’, if they don’t have a Mature tag.

Why are pageviews important?

Following these tips will give you more pageviews. But why are pageviews important in the first place? Because you want your stories to be read, I suppose. But also because a high number of pageviews is likely to attract even more pageviews.

  1. When you use the search bar, the deviations you find are arranged by several aspects, like number of pageviews, number of comments, number of faves. So the higher the number of pageviews for your story, the more likely it is it will show up high in the search results
  2. On the desktop version of DA, stories with a high number of pageviews (and without the Mature tag) are more likely to show up in the sections ‘More from DeviantArt’ and ‘Featured in Collections’
